In the Beginning

​

On September 15, 2007 an organizational meeting of amateurs interested in forming a DX club was held at Texas Roadhouse in Malabar, FL.  Membership interest was solicited in the Space Coast and Treasure Coast areas and those responding were located in either Brevard or Indian River counties.

During the meeting, several names for the club were discussed and the unanimous vote was The Florida East Coast DX Club.

​

On June 5, 2008, the club officially became an ARRL Affiliated Club.
